The protection of your personal data is of great importance to us.

The provisions below serve to provide information as to the manner, extent and purpose for collecting, using and processing personal information by the provider.

The website of Gilgen Logistics AG is subject to Swiss data protection law, in particular pursuant to the Federal Data Protection Act (DSG) and any applicable foreign data protection law such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union (EU). 

Our website can generally be used without entering personal data. Where personal data is entered on our websites (e.g. name, address or e-mail address), this is always on a voluntary basis where possible and exclusively for the purpose specified. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

We would like to point out that online data transfer (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security loopholes. This means seamless protection against access by third parties is not possible.

In the processing of personal data necessary for complying with a contract for the contracting party in question, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations required to carry out pre-contractual actions.

Contact information published by third parties in line with the obligation to provide legal information may explicitly not be used for sending advertising and information materials which have not specifically been requested. The operators of the page specifically reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising, e.g. via spam e-mails.

We do not engage in profiling with the personal data nor do we use it for automated individual decisions.

We process personal data that you voluntarily provide to us (via the contact form, newsletter registration or the form for ordering spare parts). Certain technical data is also collected automatically when you visit our website (e.g. your IP address, details of your browser, date and time of your visit, name and URL of the page accessed).

As a matter of principle, we process personal data only to the extent that we need them to process our business relationship, in particular to conclude and process contracts with customers, suppliers, etc.. We also process personal data if you contact us directly in order to process your request.

In addition, we process personal data in order to comply with our legal obligations at home and abroad, to safeguard legal claims and to defend ourselves in legal disputes or official proceedings, to comply with compliance and other internal guidelines and for internal administrative purposes.

This website partially uses so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies allow us to make our product more user-friendly, more efficient and more secure. Cookies are small text files, stored by your browser on your computer.

Our website uses plugins from the Google-operated website YouTube. The provider of the website is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you visit one of our websites with an embedded YouTube-plugin, a connection to YouTube servers will be established. Information about which of our websites you have visited will then be transmitted to the YouTube Server.

If you are logged on to your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour with your personal profile. You may prevent this by logging out of YouTube.

This website uses the map service Google Maps via API. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. 

To use the functions of Google Maps storage of your IP address is required. This information will usually be transferred to, and stored on, a server in the USA. The provider of this website has no influence on this data transmission.

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

We host our website at Internetgalerie AG, Thun, Switzerland. The provider (or its web space provider) collects data about every access to the web content (so-called server log files). The access data includes: name of the website requested, file, date and time of the request, volume of data transferred, message about successful request, browser type with version, operating system of the user, referrer URL (the page previously visited) and the requesting provider. The provider only uses the log file for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security, and optimization of the web content. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log files subsequently where concrete indications give rise to the justified suspicion of unlawful use. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR with information security as a legitimate interest.

On our website we offer you the opportunity to contact us, either by email and/or by using a contact form. In such event, information provided by the user is stored for the purpose of facilitating communications with the user. No data is transferred to third parties. Nor is any of this information matched to any information that may be collected by other components of our Website.

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information. It will not be passed on to third parties.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example by using the "Delete newsletter subscription" function on the website.

We electronically collect and process your application data for the purpose of completing the application process. If your application results in the conclusion of an employment contract, the data collected from you may be stored in your personnel file for purposes of normal organizational and administrative processes in compliance with appropriate legal requirements. Upon rejection of your application, data you have provided is automatically deleted after notification of rejection.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from "http://" to "https://" and the lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

We process and store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise for the purposes pursued with the processing, i.e., for example, for the duration of the entire business relationship (from the initiation and processing to the termination of the contract) as well as beyond that in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations. It is possible that personal data will be retained for the time during which claims can be asserted against our company and to the extent that we are further required to do so by law or legitimate business interests (e.g. for evidence and documentation purposes). As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be deleted or anonymized as far as possible.

On the basis of the Federal Data Protection Act, you may contact us at no cost if you have questions relating to the collection, processing or use of your personal information, if you wish to request the correction, blocking or deletion of the same, or if you wish to cancel explicitly granted consent. Please note that you have the right to have incorrect data corrected or to have personal data deleted, where such claim is not barred by any legal obligation to retain this data.

Persons on whom we process personal data have a right of appeal to a competent data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority for data protection in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

All texts and images on this website are protected by copyright. Any unauthorized use of the copyright protected content requires written authorization. This is especially valid for duplication, adaptation, translation, saving or reproduction of content in databases or other electronical media and systems. Photocopies and downloads of websites can only be used for personal, private an non-commercial purposes. The owners of the website are making an effort to respect the copyrights of others or alternatively resort to using self created or license free material.

All photos and film recordings of employees of Gilgen Logistics AG and of external companies that were created for the purpose of internal and external communication have been recorded in accordance with the law. Appropriate publication permits were obtained.
