Thomas Herren new CFO

Thomas Herren is the new CFO of the Swiss family business Gilgen Logistics. He replaces Peter Nussbaum on the management board, who is taking early retirement. The internationally active company for intralogistics continues its course that focusses on development and digitalisation.

The Swiss family company has appointed Thomas Herren CFO and a member of the management board. Thomas Herren is a new addition to the company and takes over the finances and administration division. This division is responsible for not only finances & controlling unit but also other further central services as well as the ICT division. Informatics makes a significant contribution to advancing the digitalisation of both internal and external processes. This has long been a strategic focus of the intralogistics company. For the past few months, this has also been led by someone with profound expertise, Tobias Soltermann.

Thomas Herren spent the past 16 years in various positions at the utility company BKW. He was initially a technical expert for consolidation & accounting, later Head of the Central Financial Accounting unit as well as Investor Relations Officer for the BKW Group. Before this, he was an auditor of industrial enterprises. Consequently, he brings the necessary experience and know-how to help shape the continued successful development of Gilgen Logistics.

The former CFO, Peter Nussbaum, is taking early retirement at his own wish at the end of 2022 after a total of 34 years at Gilgen Logistics, a step he has been planning carefully for quite some time. Up till then, he will be here to ensure a smooth transition. The Gilgen family who own the business are very grateful to Peter Nussbaum for his exceptional personal commitment to the company and wish him all the very best for the future.
