As of January 1, 2023, Daniel Gilgen will be CEO of Gilgen Logistics. He will be taking over the reins from his father, Jakob Gilgen, and carry on the Swiss family business in its 3rd generation. Jakob Gilgen is to remain president of the board of directors. Michael Hediger and Franz Kohler are joining the management board. Stefan Hayoz will then become the new head of Sales for the Systems Business Division. This will complete the intralogistics specialist’s planned succession arrangements and organizational restructuring.

We win the silver award in the "Best Swiss App 2022" in the category Innovation together with our partner Netcetera for our project "Digitalisation meets Automation". With the augmented reality app, the digital twin of the conveyor system can be accessed down to the individual screw. The entire process is digitally supported, from the sales process to animated maintenance instructions.

We are currently installing the latest generation of stacker cranes at the building services specialist Meier Tobler.

What makes the Gilgen Logistics intralogistics system special is its size: it is several floors high. At its core is the sorting system. This connects the delivery, sorting, waste disposal, washing station and storage systems with each other.

Thomas Herren is the new CFO of the Swiss family business Gilgen Logistics. He replaces Peter Nussbaum on the management board, who is taking early retirement. The internationally active company for intralogistics continues its course that focusses on development and digitalisation.

LogiMAT 2022 is already history again. We have compiled a few impressions from around our stand.

In order to regulate the different frequencies of returns deliveries of empty containers, we were allowed to install a buffer warehouse for 477 pallet spaces at Migros Ostschweiz. 

During the conversion, a conveyor line had to be attached to the ceiling during ongoing operations. You can find out all further information and details in the report and film. 

After two years the LogiMAT is finally opening its doors again. We will, of course, also be there.
